Dutchwomen post big win over Hamilton, 84-58

Selin Whitham looks to dish out one of her seven assists on the night.
 
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Four Union players scored in double figures to lead the Dutchwomen to an 84-58 win over Hamilton at the Viniar Atheltic Center Saturday.

Selin Whitham (South Windsor, CT/ South Windsor) had 12 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Erika Eisenhut (Mohawk, NY/ Mohawk) finished the game with 18 points, five rebounds and one assist. Union improved to 9-5, 3-1 in the Liberty League.
 
Junior Krystal Hammond (Clifton Park, NY/ Shenendehowa) added 18 points and six rebounds. Marissa Dwyer (Duanesburg, NY/ Duanesburg) added 16 points and six rebounds for the hosts. Hamilton was paced by sophomore forward Pumla Sathula (Soweto, S. Africa /Saint Annes-Belfield School) with 14 points, three assists and six rebounds, and Laura Wetmore (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) with 13 points and three steals.

Union shot 49.2% and hit for 35.5% in three-pointers and took a 44-18 lead into the half. Hamilton shot 35.3% for the contest and fell to 4-8 overall record and 1-2 in the Liberty League.

The Dutchwomen host league foe William Smith Saturday at 2 p.m. while Hamilton plays at Skidmore Saturday at 2 p.m.
